What is Day Out With Thomas™?
Start your engines! Thomas the Tank Engine™ will be chugging his way into Uxbridge for two weekends of fun, August 10, 11, 12 and 17, 18, 19, 2018.
Day Out With Thomas™ is a family event that offers children and their grownups the opportunity to take a 25 minute ride and get their picture with storybook friend Thomas the Tank Engine.
Off the platform, meet and snap your photo with Sir Topham Hatt™, the Controller of the Railway. Visit the Imagination Station for face painting, tattoos and colouring activities. Enjoy a train play table, Thomas storytelling and videos in an actual train car!
Check out our live entertainment stage featuring musicians, a juggler and magician. There are lots of other activities including a bubble zone, Zoo to You, kiddie train, hay maze, jumping castle and more.

What times do trains depart?
9:00 am, 9:45 am, 10:30 am, 11:15 am, 12:00 pm, 12:45 pm, 1:30 pm, 2:15 pm, 3:00 pm, 3:45 pm. It is recommended that guests arrive at the event at least one hour before their scheduled departure. For the 9:00 am departure time please arrive at 8:30 am

$25 plus HST + TicketWeb service charge.

Who needs tickets?
Tickets are required for guests ages two and up. Infants under two may ride on a parent’s lap.
Do you recommend purchasing tickets in advance?
Due to the popularity of Day Out With Thomas™, advance ticket purchase is highly recommended. It is not uncommon for events to sell out.
What is the ticket purchase policy?
The event will run rain or shine. There are no refunds or exchanges.
How will I receive my tickets?
If purchased three weeks or more in advance of the event, guests will receive their tickets in the mail. Guests that purchase tickets closer to the event date can pick up their tickets at Will Call the day of the event.
Will tickets be available at the gate for purchase?
There may be limited tickets, however, most train times sell out in advance. If all of the train rides are sold out, you may purchase a ticket to enjoy the other activities on-site, including a picture with Thomas. Cost remains the same at $25 + HST.
Can we bring strollers into the venue and onto the train?
The event is stroller friendly. The shuttle buses from designated parking areas are equipped with space to store strollers. Strollers are not allowed on the train due to space limitations. There is a designated stroller parking area near the boarding area.
What is the difference between the Cars?
All cars are air-conditioned. Cars 1 and 6 have table and chair seating. Car 2 has padded bench seating with tables. Cars 3, 4 and 5 have bench seating and no tables.
Are pets allowed?
Sorry, no pets. Guide dogs however are permitted.
Are cameras allowed?
Guests are encouraged to capture their Day Out With Thomas memories.
Is exit and re-entry allowed during the day?
Yes. You will be asked to show your ticket before re-entering.
What happens if I miss the train departure time I purchased?
Tickets are purchased for a specific date and train departure time. If you miss your train time, while we will try to accommodate you, there are no guarantees that we can seat you on the next available ride.
What happens in the event of inclement weather?
Day Out With Thomas™ events take place rain or shine. Most of the activities take place under large tents to protect guests from the elements.
Is food available for purchase on the grounds?
Yes, there will be a number of food vendors on-site.
Can I bring my own food?
Food is not allowed on the train.
If I require wheelchair or other accommodations what should I do?
Contact the railway directly by email at email@example.com prior to purchasing tickets to ensure we can accommodate you.
When should I arrive for the train ride?
It is recommended that guests arrive at the event at least one hour before their scheduled departure. For the 9:00 am departure time please arrive at 8:30 am This allows for time to park and get through the front gate.
When should I line up for the train ride?
It is recommended that you arrive at train boarding location no later than 15 minutes before train departure time.
