The train is accessible, to those who require assistance in boarding, by a rolling lift at the Uxbridge Station only. Our heritage coaches can accommodate wheelchairs no more than 24″ wide. Car 106 is equipped with an accessible washroom, and can accommodate up to 4 wheelchairs.
The Stouffville Station is not wheelchair accessible. In order to disembark and re-board the train in Stouffville, individuals must be able to manage a few steps. If you use a walker and can manage a few steps, the train attendants can help you board the train Walkers can be stored during the ride for use when you depart.
York-Durham Heritage Railway also accepts Access Entertainment cards. The individual with the access card must pay the regular fare, however one support personnel per card receives a complimentary ride. Please present your tickets and access card at the ticket counter prior to your train ride.
Please note that service dogs are allowed.
